Pattern Recognition Receptor Signaling

Pattern Recognition Receptor (PRR), also called Innate Immune System receptor, is a member of a group of families of receptors that act as molecular switches to trigger Innate Immune activation. The PRR proteins are germline encoded and they consist of a Recognition domain and a Protein-protein-interacting domain for downstream signaling.
